Advance commission on public procurement through Commodity Exchange annulled

The companies that are purchasing goods through the Universal Commodity Exchange of Moldova will no more pay the required commission of 0.5% of the value of the contract, Info-Prim Neo reports, quoting a Government Decision. According to the Ministry of Finance, the commission of 0.5% of the value of the contract was annulled as it was proved that it represents a barrier to making purchases with public money through the Universal Commodity Exchange. “We consider that the abrogation of the March 19, 2008 regulations concerning public procurement through the Universal Commodity Exchange, which require paying the commission of 0.5% of the value of the contract, will eliminate the hindrances and allow a larger number of economic entities to take part in public procurement,” said Minister of Finance Veaceslav Negruta.
