The students who want to continue their studies at lyceums can file applications starting with June 22, when the first stage of the lyceum admission contest begins. The first stage ends on July 10 and those who will not manage to submit the documents can do it in August, when the second stage will take place. The Ministry of Education, Culture and Research approved the lyceum admission program and the timetable of admission to the fifth grade for institutions that do not include a primary school, IPN reports.
“Given the epidemiological situation in our country, the education institutions should allow candidates to file applications through email, postal services and to the admission commission. Also, the medical certificate and the candidate’s photos can be presented within five days of the start of the school year,” Minister of Education, Culture and Research Igor Sharov stated in an online meeting with representatives of local education divisions.
This way, applications to take part in the admission contest can be filed between June 22 and July 10. The second stage of the admission contest will take place during August 10-18. The education institutions will announce the results of the admission contest.
The meeting also discussed the formation of orders for textbooks for the 2020-2021 year of study. It was agreed that the responsible officials will submit information about the number of textbooks needed by each education institution to the Ministry of Education until June 18, 2020.
