The admission lists to high education institutions have been posted. As in previous years, they have made some students happy, and brought tears to others. The Academy of Economic Studies was the first institution from Chisinau to publish its admission results, whereas the rush at the State University panels started in the evening. The University of Medicine will post results on Monday, August 6. “I am not very nervous, because I had a quite GPA, and am sure that I was accepted. It saddens me more when I look around and see sad faces”, says Cristina Negara, who came to the State University to check the admission lists. “I did not expect to be enrolled on a contractual basis, but I have no choice anymore. Now I am thinking of how to tell my parents, who are waiting at home assured that I was enrolled tuition-free”, mentioned Tudor Brailean. “I don’t like the results, by we have to comply. We have some money set aside for our daughter, but there tens of thousands of lei for other expenses beside the tuition fee. We will try to cope with the situation, hoping that God will make justice later”, said Maria Pascari. 25,000 youth have applied with different faculties throughout the country, of which over 20,000 for undergrad studies, and the rest for master’s degrees. The toughest competition was for tuition-free seats for the Law, Journalism and Tourism departments.
