Four employees holding executive posts at the Rascani Police Inspectorate of the General Police Inspectorate were suspended from posts for inaction in the investigation into the murder of two young men, IPN reports.

These are the chief and deputy chief of the Rascani Police Inspectorate, the head of the Offenses Section and the head of the Criminal Police Service. According to the General Police Inspectorate, the employees didn’t take the measures needed to discover the murder of two young men committed in Nihoreni village of Rascani district on June 19, 2016.

The functionaries were suspended in order to avoid a possible influence on the internal inquiry started over this case. The post of the Rascani Inspectorate’s chief during the internal inquiry will be held by the deputy chief who heads Section No. 1 of the Division “Nord” of the National Investigations Inspectorate.

A week ago, two young men were killed with a hammer and thrown into a wood. A suspect was arrested.
