The administration of the Mother and Child Institute examined the case related by a young woman who accuses the doctors and medical assistants of indifference and says that she had to give birth in the hospital’s toilet. The administration stated that no complaint about this case has been submitted so far, IPN reports.

It happened two weeks ago. The case became known after the young woman wrote about the difficult patch through which she went on a social networking site. Being 21 weeks pregnant, the woman went to the hospital with pain, but was told to go home. The next night she was again brought by an ambulance and was hospitalized on Saturday. On Monday the doctors confirmed that her unborn baby was seriously ill. “I went through hell and write about my experience with tears in my eyes. They sent me to buy pills that induce labor. I drank the first pill and waited for a day. I note that I hadn’t eaten for two days. The next day they woke me up at 6am and told me to put a pill under the tongue. I started to feel pain in five minutes. I took another pill in half an hour and then another one, four in all. I had terrible pain. No one entered my room. There was a woman mate in my room who was to go home, but stayed with me when she saw their attitude,” related the young woman.

She said the pain lasted for 23 hours and the nurse for several times refused to call the doctor. Early in the morning she went to the toilet and gave birth herself. She cried for the nurse, but this didn’t come even if she was near. She gave birth to a baby girl and had time to examine her, until the nurse came.

The administration of the Mother and Child Institute said a commission was set up to establish the circumstances of this case. The persons who violated the medical ethics and deontological norms and the regulations of the subdivision will be held accountable.
