Administration of “Antena C” fails to abide by ACC orders

The administration of “Antena C” radio station disputed the decision of the Audiovisual Coordinating Council (ACC), which rejected Antena C’ new broadcasting schedule on Wednesday, February 7, chairman of the Council Corneliu Mihalache told Info-Prim Neo. According to him, the administration of the radio station says that ACC did not back its decision properly. Mihalache said this dispute will be examined in a special ACC session that might be organised on Monday. The employees of the radio station stated at the Press Club held on Wednesday, February 7 that the administration is not willing to return to the old broadcasting schedule and uses tricks. According to them, the list of programmes proposed by the new administration is poorer compared with that approved by ACC previously, only 5 programmes being planned in comparison with 50 programmes as before the reorganisation. ACC obliged “Antena C” to transmit the programmes approved previously and has publicly warned the radio station because it started to air a modified broadcasting schedule without ACC’s consent. On the other hand, Veaceslav Satnic, director of the station, said that not even the employees at Antena C respected the old schedule. This fact determined him to change it. The employees denied the accusations, mentioning that the true intention of the administration is to introduce new programmes, because “the journalists from “Teleradio-Moldova” are just waiting to take their places.
