Adjustment of passenger transportation fares remains in agenda, deputy prime minister
The problem of adjusting the passenger transportation fares remains in the agenda of the National Commission for Collective Consultations and Negotiations, the commission’s head, Deputy Prime Minister Mihai Moldovanu said in an interview for Radio Moldova, quoted by Info-Prim Neo.
According to Moldovanu, a new methodology for calculating fares will be proposed for discussion soon. “If the employers have relevant suggestions or worked out a new social dialogue strategy, we are ready to analyze them, including those aimed at combating the illegal payment of salaries and tax evasion,” he stated.
The Commission held six meetings in 2011. At the employers’ suggestion, the quota of 8% on sugar was maintained in the budgetary-fiscal policy document for 2012.
”I don’t think that the social dialogue is in crisis, as the National Employers Confederation of Moldova stated. The Government’s role in the social dialogue is to balance all the interests. We cannot take into account all the interests of the employers, though they play an important role in society and the economy. The employers create workplaces, pay salaries and taxes. But there are also pensioners, persons who cannot work and children without parents. There are many problems with which we must deal,” said Mihai Moldovanu.
In a news conference on Friday, the administration of the National Employers Confederation said employers’ proposals for improving the business climate are apparently acceptable, but cannot be found in the adopted bills.
