Additional revenues of 100 million lei into Chisinau budget
The implementation of the new strategy for managing the financial resources in Chisinau could bring additional incomes of over 100 million lei into the budget, said participants in the debates on the new draft strategy held by the Chisinau City Hall on August 19. The debates involved representatives of municipal companies, experts and councilors, Info-Prim Neo reports.
“The aim of the new strategy is to effectively manage the financial resources and contribute to larger revenues,” said Nicolae Craciun, the head of the Chisinau City Hall's Land Division.
The municipal policy on the management of public lands is incoherent and is implemented with great difficulty because the current land conception was adopted in 2001 and has not been adjusted since then.
“A new strategy is needed as the municipal budget yearly sustains losses of 100 million lei. After the land auctions were stooped in 2006, the situation has worsened,” Nicolae Craciun said.
The most popular lands in the municipality of Chisinau are the commercial ones located in Centru, Rascani and Botanica districts.
The Chisinau City Hall invited the companies and councilors to submit proposals and amendments to the draft strategy for managing the financial resources in Chisinau by September 1.
The strategy was drafted with the support of UNDP Moldova.
