ACUM bloc, consisting of Action and Solidarity Party and Dignity and Truth Platform Political Party, presented its candidates to the position of mayor for five suburbs of Chisinau. A post on PAS's Facebook page mentions that it concerns Budești, Condrița, Cruzești, Vadul lui Vodă and Ghidighici settlements, IPN reports.
In Budești, Sergiu Brînză, a local dweller, runs for mayor position. He graduated from the "Ion Creangă" State Pedagogical University, History and Ethno pedagogy department. He has worked at the National Museum of History of Moldova, and at present is director of "Budești" Theoretical High School. He has been working for eight years with a staff of over 50 people and about 500 students.
Svetlana Zagareanu, also a local dweller, is a candidate for Condrița. From 2011 to 2015, she worked as local councillor. From 2017 until now she has been working at the village post office. According to PAS, as mayor, she will make every effort for the welfare of the inhabitants.
In Cruzești, Igor Zaporojan is running for mayor seat. He graduated from History and Psychology Department of the State University of Moldova, worked for a while at the university, but the low salary determined him to start his own business in the field of metal constructions. The party specifies that Igor Zaporojan understands very well the role of entrepreneurs in Cruzești, and as mayor, he will work on increasing the number of entrepreneurs that can start businesses in Cruzești.
Viorel Onofriciuc is a candidate for Vadul lui Voda. He has vast experience in the public domain, although he has been involved in the private sector for more than 20 years. He worked as engineer in the social-economic development section of Vadul lui Vodă Mayor Office. He was then transferred to the mayor's adviser-referent position. Other public functions followed, which gives him an advantage as regards the local public authorities’ functioning mechanisms.
The candidate of Ghidighici is Angela Caraman, who graduated from the philology and law departments in Chisinau. She has been working for more than 19 years in the public service, at both local and central level, of which over 12 years in management positions. For her personal development, she defended the master's thesis in the field of public administration and, recently, she took master's courses in the field of political and electoral management. She also became acquainted with the problems of the settlement since she was secretary of Ghidighici Local Council between 2016-2018.
