Actors to declare love in Chisinau’s down town

Actors from the Improvised Theater Studio will make a nice declaration of love to all the people from Chisinau on March 22 and 23, Info-Prim Neo reports. The third spectacle in the series “Carnival in Chisinau” of the Improvised Theater will have love as topic. The directors Vladimir Simanschi and Elena Cusnir inspired themselves from Saint Paul’s Epistle to Corinthians in putting the play on. At the same time, the play is wanted to be a call to tradition and customs. Elena Cusnir has told Info-Prim Neo the performance is a continuation of the events of the month of March, especially a prolongation of the Martisor festival. So the actors dressed in as Corinthians in white and red clothes will remind of the symbols of the spring. They will march in Chisinau’s down town, reading out the known Epistle to Corinthians. The originality of the play consists in the fact that it is will be performed in open air, the viewers having the opportunity to directly play in the game proposed by the Improvised Theater. The performance will start at 14.00 in Stefan cel Mare Park, from where the actors will go to the Cathedral, dancing in white and red. The Improvised Theater Studio made its debut with such a kind of performances on 14 October 2007, playing “The Chisinau Decameron.” A second performance was put on during the winter holidays. “The Rituals’ Amalgam” represented a series of traditions and customs performed on Christmas and Saint Basil’s Day. The directors also plan to put such a performance in summer.
