Actor Mihai Curagau died

/13:30pm/ The coffin with the body of actor Mihai Curagau will be taken to the Chisinau Church “Saint Teodora de la Sihla” at 5pm on December 25. On December 26, at 11am, it will be transferred to the National Theater “Satiricus Ion Luca Caragiale”, situated at 55 Mihai Eminescu St, where a memorial service will be held. Mihai Curagau will be buried at the Orthodox Central Cemetery on Armeneasca St.

Moldovan theater and film actor Mihai Curagau passed away in the morning of December 24. The information was confirmed for IPN by stage manager Sandu Grecu, president of the Theater Union of Moldova.

It will be later announced where those who want to bid farewell to the actor can do it.

Mihai Curagau was born on August 15, 1943 in Balanesti village of Nisporeni distrust. He is one of the founders of the National Theater “Satiricus Ion Luca Caragiale” and is an emblematic actor of this theater. Earlier, he also worked at the National Theater “Mihai Eminescu”. He played memorable parts on the stages of both of the theaters. He also played about 40 roles in national and foreign films. Mihai Curagau is one of the founders of the “Theater of Miniatures” where he performed in over 100 sketches and one-act plays. He also played in tens of radio and TV plays and understudied over 40 roles in films.
