A group of political activists from Ungheni district left the Communist Party (PCRM) and joined the Democratic Party (PDM). In a statement, district councilors Romeo Rusu, Vladimir Buga and Vasile Moldovan say that they decided to defect the party owing to the disordered and disoriented behavior inside it and to join the Democratic Party because it is led by professionals, IPN reports.
“In the primary, district, town and municipal organizations, this idea appeared long ago as we do not understand what is going on in the administration of the PCRM and what the propose of the extremist behavior, shouting on the streets and hooliganism in Parliament is,” reads the statement.
Earlier, several local elected officials of the PCRM from Soldanesti, Drochia and Edinet defected to the PDM.
