Fiodor Ghelici, the ex-president of the public control commission that worked under the President, calls upon the people not to take part in the march announced by President Igor Dodon for June 16 as a civil war can be triggered there, according to him.
In a news conference at IPN, Fiodor Ghelici said Igor Dodon urges the people to protest against the law and the Constitution. “He does not care what can happen in the protest and does not care about people’s lives and our families. He cares only about his own welfare, political career and enrichment,” he stated.
According to the activist, the Constitutional Court’s decision should be respected. “There are always people dissatisfied with a particular judgement passed by the Constitutional Court, but we should not go beyond the law as chaos and war will be generated this way. Snap elections will be held in two months and the people will decide who should govern the country further. The MPs should have worked. What did they do for three months? The Court acted correctly! The Constitutional Court made a ruling that cannot be challenged,” noted Fiodor Ghelici, adding everyone should prepare for snap legislative polls.
He added the President urges to break the law and ignore the Constitutional Court’s decisions so that he could save his own reputation. “I saw how the President sells his country, the people. Moreover, he blackmails his “godfather” and asks money from him. We now convinced ourselves that Vlad Plahotniuc is Igor Dodon’s ”godfather”,” stated the activist.
He called on the law enforcement agencies and the prosecution service to work in the people’s interests, to protect the Constitution and obey the laws, but not to serve the interests of politicians.
In another development, Fiodor Ghelici noted that Igor Dodon hampered the investigation of the bank fraud. In the name of the former members of the public control commission, the activist said Igor Dodon instructed them to fix the investigation into the bank fraud and to shift the whole blame onto ex-Premier Vlad Filat.
