In 2020, in UTA Găgăuzia, the secret construction of a military airport will commence. The airport will be used by Russian military planes. The date of its commissioning will depend on the "money flow from Russia". Statements in this regard were made during an IPN press conference, by Vasile Sinigur, a civic activist.
According to Vasile Sinigur, the airport would be built at Ceadîr-Lunga, while the persons concerned are "the President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, the President of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, the President of the Republic of Moldova, Igor Dodon, and the başkan of Găgăuzia, Irina Vlah."
The activist said that he learned the information "from a man who is very close to Irina Vlah". "Their plan is to build a military base against NATO in Ceadîr-Lunga and to occupy a part of Odessa", the activist said.
Vasile Sinigur added, in another context, that the mayor of Bălți, Renato Usatîi, "was groomed by Russia" to hold the position of president of the Republic of Moldova, "if Igor Dodon loses the presidential elections set for 2020".
Dumitru Munteanu, a pensioner, during the same conference, said that the situation in the country is getting worse and worse by the day, "because the power is captured by a single person and party". The man said that this should put everyone on alert and that the newly formed government is not reliable. "I cannot trust Russia's words, because it has never kept its word. Russia has always violated international law. For example, in 1999, Russia agreed in Istanbul to evacuate its army from the Romanian territory, however, this did not occur to this day and I don't think it will happen willingly", the pensioner said.
The conference participants said that they intend to organize a rally in front of the US Embassy in Moldova in order to ask for protection and US involvement in this case.
