The ODIHR election observation mission is very important in the context of the presidential elections of this October, said Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration Lilian Darii, who met with representatives of the OSCE/ODIHR to discuss the needs deriving from the October 30 presidential elections, IPN reports.

According to a press release of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the interlocutors conferred on the actions that need to be taken by the Ministry, in concert with other competent institutions, to prepare for and ensure the smooth running of the presidential elections.

The deputy minister noted that the election monitoring results will represent a solid basis for further improving the management of the electoral process in Moldova.
