Action Plan Moldova – EU and EGPRSP to be adjusted
The Action Plan Moldova – European Union and the Economic Growth and Poverty Reduction Strategy Paper (EGPRSP) will be mutually adjusted, Ludmila Iesanu deputy head of the Coordination and Monitoring of Development Programs Department within the Ministry of Economy and Commerce declared on September 6 at the debate “Interaction between EGPRSP and the Action Plan Moldova-EU in the European integration process of the Republic of Moldova”.
According to her, the possibility of adjusting these two strategic documents is discussed at present due to the fact that both of them include to a great extent common objectives. Thus, in the near future, a new document will be launched. Its name is not yet known.
The Economic Growth and Poverty Reduction Strategy Paper was approved by the Parliament of the Republic of Moldova in December 2004. EGPRSP is a development medium term strategy for Moldova, which includes the actions solicited by the Government in order to reduce poverty.
The Action Plan EU – Moldova was signed on February 22, 2005 and it covers a period of 3 years. The plan includes a series of actions in different fields – economic, political and social, and to a great extent its objectives are similar to those stipulated in EGPRSP.
