Interim President of the Romanian Senate Mircea Abrudean will pay an official visit to the Republic of Moldova on Tuesday, March 25, with meetings scheduled with high-ranking officials in Chisinau, IPN reports.

The visit will start at the Parliament, where Mircea Abrudean will meet the Speaker of the legislature, Igor Grosu. The two officials are scheduled to hold press statements after the meeting.

During the visit, the Romanian official will also hold talks with President Maia Sandu, Prime Minister Dorin Recean and Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration Cristina Gherasimov.

The main topics of the meetings will focus on strengthening relations between Romania and the Republic of Moldova, implementing reforms and advancing the country's European path.
