Accounts of SA Termocom still frozen
The accounts of SA Termocom remain blocked and the company is unable to settle the payments to the thermoelectric plants CET 1 and CET 2 and to the gas supplier SRL Chisinau-Gaz, director general of the Chisinau heat supplier Mihail Cernei said, quoted by Info-Prim Neo.
According to Mihail Cernei, 85 million lei is now frozen. The heat supplier managed to pay the salaries to employees, but cannot make other payments. Earlier, representatives of the CETs and Chisinau-Gaz reminded of the debts every hour, but now they abandoned sending messages.
Mihail Cernei said Termocom paid for only 50% of the services provided by suppliers. “We used services of 706 million lei, but paid only 354 million lei,” he stated.
He also said that the residents of Chisinau paid 50% of the heat bills for February, as opposed to 70% the previous months.
The accounts were frozen under a court order at the request of SA Moldova-Gaz, which claims historical debts of 113 million lei accumulated in 2000 – 2007 from Termocom. They will be unblocked only if a memorandum of understanding for paying the outstanding debts is signed.
Mayor General Dorin Chirtoaca ordered that the municipal divisions prepare the memorandum immediately so that it could be signed by the end of this week.
