The former chief-accountant of the Chisinau Institute of Neurology and Neurosurgery was sentenced to six years in jail for appropriation of public funds. He stole 200,000 lei that was intended for paying salaries to the medical institution, IPN has learned from the Prosecutor General’s Office.

The accountant was dismissed. He also returned the 200,000 lei. The sentient can be appealed to a higher court.
