The trucks with garbage from Chisinau still cannot get to the waste dump in Tantareni. The mayor of the village Ion Mastan stated for Info-Prim Neo that the inhabitants have protested for three days in a row and are determined to remain in the street as long as needed. Ion Mastan said that no garbage truck entered Tantareni since last Saturday. The road has been blcoked by about 20 persons. The contract for the storage of garbage in Tantareni was to expire at the end of last year. On December 30, the Anenii Noi District Council decided to renew it for at least three more years, but demanded signing an additional contract that grants concessions to the residents of the village. Last week, the Mayor of Chisinau Dorin Chirtoaca said the municipal authorities will sign this contract.
