Access to playgrounds in Chisinau remains restricted

The access to playgrounds in Chisinau remains restricted until the Extraordinary Public Health Commission of the municipality takes a new decision, said the head of the Public Amenities Division Ion Burdiumov.

Contacted by IPN for details, Ion Burdiumov said the playgrounds have been closed and announcements as to the restricted access were placed, including on the City Hall’s website. “For now, the epidemiological situation in the city does not allow us to gather together the children at playgrounds,” he stated, noting that in some of the cases the parents do not take the restrictions into account and allow the children to play there, but no one was fined and will not be.

Asked about the renovation of playgrounds, Ion Burdiumov said that no renovations works will be performed this year in the yards of apartment buildings, only at large playgrounds situated outside yards.

The head of the Public Amenities Division’s Cleanup and Territorial Development Section Vasile Efros said the works at the playgrounds in “Alunelul” and “La Izvor” Parks have been completed, while at the playgrounds situated on Pelivan St and on Mircea cel Bătrân Blvd go on.
