SA “Apa-Canal Chsinau” (ACC) said it will supply water free to a number of Chisinau churches before Epiphany. Thus, over 100 tonnes of water will be delivered on January 18 and 19, IPN reports.

The water supplier says this practice is over ten years old. The water will be blessed and distributed to parishioners, who will be able to take a mouthful of this water in the morning, before eating, during eight days and will then use it to bless houses and for persons who are seriously ill.

This year ACC will supply water to at least ten churches, including the Monastery “St. Great Martyr Teodor Tiron”, “St. Teodora de la Sihla” Church and the Church of All Saints.

The tanks with water will be placed in the yards of churches. After the blessing ceremony, the faithful will take as much water as they need.
