ACC to manage water supply and sewerage system in Stauceni

The Chisinau water supplier Apa-Canal Chisinau (ACC) has taken over the water supply and sewerage system of Stauceni village from the local authorities, the company's director Constantin Becciev said, quoted by Info-Prim Neo. According to Constantin Becciev, Stauceni will be the 27th settlement taken over by Apa-Canal Chisinau. The move forms part of the services regionalization project launched by the water supplier. The director also said they will work to improve the quality of the water supply and sewerage services in Stauceni, while the charges will be decreased from 12.53 to 9.19 lei per cubic meter for household consumers and from 32 to 22 lei for economic entities. “The project forms part of the company's investment policy. We will try to clear all the debts,” Constantin Becciev said. According to him, 80% of the residents of Stauceni now use the water supply and sewerage system, while the pipes are in a better condition than those in Chisinau. The company will take over about 76 kilometers of pipes, a pumping station and a water treatment station.
