The Audiovisual Coordinating Council (ACC) postponed on Thursday, February 1, the Regulations regarding the management of the Fund to support radiobroadcasters. They are to further be examined and coordinated with the Ministry of Finances. The provisions of the Regulations have aroused debate regarding the Fund management. The Council does not have the answer to the question concerning the way of calculating the annual turnover of the radiobroadcasters. Requested to express his opinion, Eugen Rabca, expert of the Association of Electronic Media APEL, mentioned that certain provisions of the Broadcasting Code, which refers to the Regulations, contravene the Code of administrative contraventions and one of the two documents must be amended to avoid incongruity. ACC members decided to put off the Regulations. The respective Regulations stipulates the way of calculating the tax for covering the regulation expenses, paid by radiobroadcasters to the Fund to support the radiobroadcasters, as well as the management by ACC of the resources accrued in this Fund.
