The Administration Board of SA “Apa-Canal Chisinau” (ACC) placed the license numbers on the 13 new excavators purchased recently. The excavator keys were handed over to the best machinists of the company, IPN reports.

According to a press release of the ACC, the event was held on the occasion of the professional Day of Public Amenities Workers. The drivers of the 13 excavators were already trained to operate the modern machines.

The new excavators will start to be used on April 25. They will be involved in works to construct, repair and maintain the water and sewer networks all over Chisinau municipality.

ACC said the 13 new machines will contribute to achieving the company’s key objective – to increase the quality of exploitation and repair works on the networks. They will also help to diminish the losses of water by reducing the period of time needed to carry out works and the intervention costs.

In the same connection, the company said that five hydrodynamic installations for washing the sewer pipes have been recently delivered. They will allow automating the working process and operative work of the company’s specialists, including in hardly accessible places.

Of the 13 excavators, seven are bulldozer–excavators, while six are mini-excavators. The machines were delivered at the beginning of April within the Priority Investments Program financed by the EBRD and EIB.
