The public utility SA “Apa-Canal Chisinau” (ACC) calls on the consumers to rationally use the water given the lack of precipitation and the recent high temperatures, IPN reports.
According to ACC, to be able to supply with drinking water all the consumers in the municipality according to the required parameters, the water should be used rationally. As a result of the massive use of drinking water for irrigation purposes, perturbations in the supply with water are imminent. A low level of water pressure is recorded in some of the sectors such as Sangera town and the villages Dobrogea, Revaca and Ghidighici, where the water networks are completely worn-out.
The level of water in the Nistru River during the last few weeks was of 8.6 meters. This is a critical level that enables the water pumping station on the Nistru to work, but alternative solutions should be identified so as to appropriately supply the municipality of Chisinau with water.
