The studying of English should be obligatory in all the education institutions, the president of the Academy of Sciences of Moldova Gheorghe Duca said in the meeting of the governmental commission on European integration, Info-Prim Neo reports. Gheorghe Duca argued that the Moldovans should know English if they want to form part of the EU. “Given the reality, we must offer the young people the possibility of learning English, which is spoken on all the continents and is considered the language of modern business, so that they build their future and earn money at home, in Moldova, for them and for the country,” said the academician. According to Gheorghe Duca, direct communication in English, without interpreter, is a key instrument for accelerating the process of Moldova approaching the EU, the U.S., Japan, China and the entire international community
