Approximately 9,000 children will rest at municipal camps this summer. The price of a ticket for a 15-day stay at day camps was set at 2,250 lei. The parents will pay 450 lei, which is 20% of the price of the ticket. At permanent municipal camps, the price of a ticket is 3,200 lei for a period of ten days and 3,840 lei for a period of 12 days, IPN reports.

Mayor of Chisinau Ion Ceban said that a sum of 4.5 million lei was allocated from the municipal budget for preparing permanent and day camps. Thirteen day camps will work in Chisinau in summer, at primary and secondary education institutions where 1,111 children are awaited. A sum of 2.15 million lei was earmarked for the purpose.

Of the total number of children at day camps, 15% or 197 children will benefit from free tickets.

Also, the children who remained without parental care and who temporarily remained without parental care of Boarding School No. 3 will rest at three permanent summer camps without money.

As many as 6,550 children will rest at the permanent municipal summer camps “Alunelul” (Bardar), “Poienița Veselă” (Dănceni), “Cireșarii” (Vadul lui Vodă) and 20.6 million lei was allocated from the municipal budget for the purpose.

As many as 1,291 tickets will be distributed to sports schools for training for sports competition, with 3.6 million lei being disbursed from the municipal budget.

“We asked to ensure all the necessary conditions are met at summer camps for children. Each camp should be inspected by officials in charge of the General Division of Education, Youth and Sport and the responsible sector divisions. We were assured that all the camps will be outfitted with the necessary things, in accordance with the norms and the funds allocated from the budget,” stated Ion Ceban.
