About 8,000 Chisinau children from families on low incomes will receive this year, too, 600 lei in aid to prepare for the start of the school year. Valentina Cujba, deputy head of the municipal Education Division, told Info-Prim Neo that the recipient lists have been already compiled by the schools and the parents may go to any Banca de Economii branch with a valid ID to pick the money. The sums should be collected by September 1, but exceptions will be made if need be. Besides children from poor families, eligible recipients also include orphans, children with disabilities or whose parents have disabilities or are unemployed. The payments are for the grades I – IX.
