About 60,000 persons filed applications to receive compensations for trips by public units of transport
Approximately 60,000 pensioners, invalids, unemployed persons and persons from other vulnerable groups have lodged applications for being paid compensations for trips by public means of transport. The information was made public at Monday's meeting of the municipal services and divisions, Info-Prim Neo reports
Eugenia Ceban, the head of the Social Assistance Division, said that 58,894 applications for such compensations have been registered so far. 8,845 applications were filed last week.
The money for the 50,000 persons who lodged appreciations until last week has been already allocated and will be transferred to Moldova's Post Office, which will distribute it to the recipients through the zonal post offices. From next month, the compensations will be paid simultaneously with the pension.
The procedure for collecting applications from persons with a monthly income lower than 1,450 lei goes on.
