In a news conference on Saturday, Marin Maxian, the head of the Ministry of the Interior’s Public Order Division, said that police officers, members of the People’s Guard, employees of private guard organizations and carabineers will be involved in order maintenance operations. The police urge the people to be careful when they use public units of transport, which are crowded, as the pickpockets profit from this. The thieves also profit from the fact that many persons go on visits to relatives in other settlements and the houses remain unsupervised. About 1,800 police officers will be on guard at 587 cemeteries on Sunday, April 22, while on Monday the public order at 824 cemeteries will be maintained by approximately 2,100 policemen.
