Approximately 35 crosswalks have been marked in the capital city and the marking works will continue this week too, if the weather permits, officials in charge said in the July 25 meeting of officials of Chisinau services and divisions, IPN reports.

The head of the Public Transport and Communications Division Igor Gamretski said that the two lanes of C. Negruzzi Blvd will become available this weekend. The works on this street will continue and a number of old trees are to be cut down there.

Vasile Alecsandri St is to be asphalted, while the sidewalks in the Great National Assembly square are to be paved. It is planned that the works on sidewalks will be completed by the end of August.
