Approximately 30,000 students filed applications challenging the grades they got in the Baccalaureate exams. This is 28% of the over 107,000 individual papers. According to a communiqué from the Ministry of Education, most of the students dispute the grades in the math, geography and the Romanian language exams, IPN reports.
The national commissions for examining the challenges reexamine only the disputed items and grade them according to the same standard system. They consist of other teachers than those who formed part of the exam assessment commissions.
On July 6, 7 and 8, the students with grades of under ‘5’ and those who didn’t sit the exams for objective reasons will be able to submit applications to the Baccalaureate center to take part in the additional Baccalaureate session that will be held on July 15-20. The list of centers will be made public soon.
The results of the examination of challenges will be posted at the Baccalaureate centers on July 6.
