About 2500 children participate in the Chorus Celebration, held on May 12 in Chisinau. The stairs of the National Opera hardly provided the necessary space for those 48 bands, which participate in the celebration, including 45 pre-higher institutions from the municipality of Chisinau, one from Cimislia town, one from Bulboaca village and another from Cluj-Napoca, Romania, Info-Prim Neo reports. The third edition of the Chorus Celebration started with a parade on Stefan cel mare Boulevard, from Vlaicu Parcalab Street and Licurici Theatre. The participants blocked for half an hour the circulation, but all the drivers welcomed the participation of the children and wished them success. The children were accompanied by the director of the event, Elena Fedcu, who told Info-prim Neo that at this year’s edition, the public will be surprised by the performance of the children. The bands of the Chorum Lyceums “Lia-Ciocarlia”, “Trison”, “Onisifor Ghibu” and many others presented works by Mozart, Gavriil Muzicescu, Eugen Mamot, Dumitru Balan, Alexandru Cristea, Simion Lasoi, as well as song from the national patrimony. During the inauguration of the Chorus Celebration, Minister of Education Victor Tvircun said he is very pleased to participate in the third edition of this celebration. “We are a people which has a lot to say and sing, a people in love with the song and I bow down in front of those who promote the melody, song, and who contributed to the organisation of this beautiful celebration”, the minister added. The initiator of the Chorus Celbration is the conductor and composer Victor Creanga, who created this celebration after the model of the Baltic Countries. The Chorus Celebration, organised by the Department for Education, Youth and Sports of the Chisinau Municipal Council is being held biannually and brings together the bands that promote the creation and value of the choral music.
