About 250 companies to come together for SME Forum
Approximately 250 businesses working in different sectors of the national economy will be taking part in the tenth Forum of Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises themed “Innovation, Modernization, Modern Management”. The event will take place at the exhibitions center Moldexpo during May 26 – 29, Info-Prim Neo reports, quoting a communique from the Ministry of Economy.
The program of the forum includes an exhibition by the SMEs, an international conference of the SMEs and the contest “The Best SME Entrepreneur”.
Food products and drinks, industrial goods and textiles, handicrafts and souvenirs made by craftsmen, furniture and building materials, information, banking and lending services, stationery and other products will be on display at the exhibit.
The international conference of the SMEs represents a platform for discussions between representatives of the SME sector, the public sector, the academic circles, the national and international organizations and institutions on the creation of a competitive business environment and the necessity of improving the entrepreneurs' access to financing.
The national contest “The Best SME Entrepreneur” includes ten nominations in the following areas: production, construction, trade, services, export, innovation, crafting, young entrepreneur, businesswoman and active integration into the society.
The event is organized by the Ministry of Economy, Moldexpo, the Organization for the Development of the SME Sector, the Chamber of Trade and Industry, and the Chisinau City Hall.
The SMEs in Moldova make up 97.6% of the total companies.
