Approximately 23,000 children from the municipality of Chisinau are expected to camps this summer. A ticket to a camp will cost between 500 and 1,460 lei. The parents will pay only 20% of the cost, while the rest will be covered from the municipal budget. There will be opened 61 day summer camps that will accommodate by 164 children fewer than last summer, Info-Prim Neo reports, quoting a project approved by the Chisinau Municipal Council. The day camps set up in Chisinau education institutions will be the cheapest ones. The children will spend by 15 days there. The most expensive camps are “Poienita Vesela” in Danceni village that will host 3,000 children during summer and “Alunelul”. The cost of a ticket to the camps “Ciresarii” and “Neptun” is 1,300 lei. A number of 2,350 orphans and children from socially-vulnerable families will rest in camps free of charge. A sum of 3.26 million lei was planned in the municipal budget for the purpose. The students that will rest in day camps set up in two auxiliary schools will also not pay as the schools are for invalid children of the first and second degrees. The daily food for a child in day camps will cost 32 lei, for students in boarding schools – 50 lei, while in camps located outside the city - 80 lei.
