About 2,000 people could be employed at future Moldovan-Belarusian tractor plant
The Government is in favor of creating a Moldovan-Belarusian tractor plant, Prime Minister Zinaida Grecianyi told the Ambassador of Belarus in Moldova Vasilii Sakovici at a meeting, Info-Prim Neo reports, quoting a communiqué from the executive.
Vasilii Sakovici suggested hastening the creation of the company instead of the tractor plant “Tracom” SA. In another development, it was stressed that a delegation composed of 26 Belarusian officials and businessmen will visit Moldova soon to sign contracts for the purchase of fruit and vegetables and to participate in a specialized seminar in the area.
Trade between Moldova and Belarus last year was 226 million USD. In 2008, it is expected to reach 300 million USD.
