Approximately 200 trees growing on Columna St in Chisinau will be cut as the street will be extensively repaired from next spring, Info-Prim Neo reports. In Monday’s meeting of the Chisinau City Hall, the head of the Green Areas Association Eliferie Haruta said the trees that will be cut are either old or affected by disease. There will be planted 254 new trees, but only after the Public Transport and Communications Division draws up the scheme for placing the piping system on the completely repaired street. Deputy mayor of Chisinau Nistor Grozavu said the scheme is to be coordinated with specialists. The works to cut trees on Columna St will be performed on December 15.
