About 200 persons trained within “EU Comes to Your Home” program

Approximately 200 students, journalists and civil servants benefited from training on the promotion of the European values and democracy within the program “EU Comes to Your Home”. The beneficiaries also learned to draft European projects for local public servants, Info-Prim Neo reports. “We aimed to sensitize the civil servants to the priorities of the communities. There were also analyzed examples of good practices. Within a seminar on Moldova’s integration into the EU, we invited European experts and representatives of a European mission, who held workshops centering on the European integration. Afterward, we had a series of training seminars for journalists on the same subject,” the head of the Association for European Integration Natalia Lipca told a news conference. Program coordinator Tudor Cojocariu said it is a pilot-project focusing on a number of target-groups. “We wanted to familiarize the participants with positive aspects concerning the effect of migration and intent to implement projects on conflict management and time management. We staged two simulations of how to work out software and hardware projects. Afterward, during a year, the participants can put into practice what they learned,” he stated. The program “EU Comes to Your Home” is being implemented from October 2011 until April 2012. It is supported by the Bucharest Association of European Convergence. The monthly budget of the program varies between €300 and €400.
