This year, 1,596 twelfth graders have the grade “10” in the foreign language and will not need to take the Baccalaureate exam in the foreign language. The candidates possess an internationally recognized certificate showing a high level of competence in the given area. The list was approved in the meeting of the National Exams Commission, IPN reports.
According to the Ministry of Education and Research, the number of candidates who will automatically get “10” in the Baccalaureate exam in the foreign language grew compared with the previous session owing to the students’ increased interest in foreign languages. Last year, the figure stood at 1,299.
The current session, four lyceum graduates got three gardens of “10” automatically based on certificates showing a high level of competence in foreign languages and on awards won at national and/or international Olympiads in studied subjects. The four students will take only one Baccalaureate exam. According to the same criteria, 28 students obtained two grades of “10” automatically.
The Baccalaureate session will take place during June 3-21. This will involve over 18,000 candidates about 2,000 of who failed to take the exams the previous sessions and will try again this year. The exams will be sat at 93 Baccalaureate centers, 31 of which are in the municipality of Chisinau.
