Moldovan economic agents over the past almost two years have employed 1,292 citizens of Ukraine, of whom 897 are women and 395 are men. Most Ukrainians work in Chisinau, ATU Gagauzia and Balti municipality, IPN reports.
The citizens of Ukraine work as programmers, engineers, salespersons, cooks, waiters, doctors, educators, fitters, operators in the production sector, the National Employment Agency said.
In December 2023, 172 employers expressed their readiness to employ Ukrainian citizens, declaring 1,378 vacancies for these people. Since the beginning of this year, 844 Ukrainian citizens have registered with the local subdivisions of the National Employment Agency to be helped to find a job.
The Agency provides registered Ukrainian citizens with free services, such as information on job vacancies, contact details of employers and employment guidance.
The companies that hire citizens of Ukraine, who are beneficiaries of temporary protection, have the obligation to notify the National Employment Agency of this within five days of the date the employment contract is signed.
