The International Good Deeds Day dedicated to aid, solidarity and social involvement will be celebrated on Sunday, April 14. At this year’s edition, over 9,900 male and female volunteers will participate in 255 volunteering events across the country. The Republican Volunteer Center RVC has been the official representative of the event in Moldova since 2016, IPN reports.

According to a press release of the Center, on April 14, between 10:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., activities will be carried out throughout Moldova to bring joy and support to communities. It goes to a trip to the hospital alongside children, generically entitled “Rejoice with them”. Volunteers will visit a children’s home where they will have a special program and surprises for the children. They will also visit animal shelters to help stray animals.

Also, the volunteers will carry out cleanup activities, clean parks, make a mural on the wall of a bus stop. They will supply food to people in need and take volunteer action in old people’s homes.

The program for April 14 in Chisinau will start with the registration of participants, at 10:30 a.m., on Eugen Doga pedestrian street. At 11:30 a.m., the official opening of the event will take place. Starting at noon, volunteering events will be staged throughout the municipality.

According to the organizers, creative workshops for children from JCC KEDEM and a campaign titled “Get tested for HIV/AIDS” of the Positive Initiative will take place between 10:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. on the pedestrian street. Also, a blood collection point of the Blood Transfusion Center will be set up. The Red Cross of Moldova will stage a first aid demonstration. Some other events and campaigns will take place.

According to the Republican Volunteers Center, the International Good Deeds Day is an opportunity to do something good for society and the people around. The Center invited all those interested to join the volunteer movement.
