The municipal authorities have plans to build about 10,000 parking places in the capital city, at the side of the road, where it is possible, and on sidewalks, without limiting the area intended for pedestrians. Deputy mayor of Chisinau Ilie Ceban has told IPN that the conception for building parking places and pay parking lots has been designed in accordance with the experience of Romania, more exactly of Oradea city.

“A working group was constituted by the decision of the Municipal Council and this group works on the conception for building parking places and pay parking lots in the municipality. This will be finalized and presented to the Municipal Council for approval,” stated the deputy mayor.

The tariff for a parking place will be approved by the Municipal Council, based on the proposal of the working group. The draft conception is to be presented by the end of summer.
