The two-day road Cycling Championship of Moldova starts in Chisinau on June 24, 2017. This will take place on the Chisinau - Cimislia route. The participants can apply to compete in two Olympic events –25 km individual time trial and 140 km group race.

According to the main coach of the national cycling team Alexandr Oala, about 100 athletes, both professionals and amateurs, are expected to take part in this year’s championship in five age categories: cadets, juniors, youth, seniors and amateurs, IPN reports.

Applications can be submitted to the email address of the Cycling Federation of Moldova moldciclism@gmail.com until June 23 as well as on the spot before the start of the competition. The amateurs will pay a participation fee of 100 lei.

The competition is organized by the Ministry of Youth and Sport and the Cycling Federation of Moldova and has a budget of 35,000 lei. The winners get money awards of 300 to 800 lei, depending on the age bracket, medals, diplomas and a T-shirt with the symbols of the championship.
