The best taekwondo fighter of Moldova Aaron Cook had a good performance at the Poland Open. The naturalized British athlete won bronze, IPN reports.
In the G1 category, Cook beat former colleague Thomas Smith, of the UK. He then defeated a Greek fighter, but lost to the future champion Milad Beigi, of Azerbaijan, in the semifinals.
Two weeks ago, Cook won silver at the Grand Prize of Moscow. Also this year, he became the first Moldovan who medaled at the World Taekwondo Championship, winning bronze.
At the Rio Olympic Games of 2016, Moldova will be represented by two taekwondo fighters. Aaron Cook has big chances of being one of these.
