A tanker truck from the Republic of Moldova, carrying alcohol, caught fire while traveling on the DN 28 road in Stanca, Comarna commune, in Romania, IPN reports.
"Two water and foam intervention and fire-fighting fire engines, the CBRN (Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear Centers of Excellence) crew and a qualified first aid ambulance were deployed to the scene. There were no casualties. When the emergency forces arrived on the scene, the fire was burning at the wheels of the last two decks. The fire was extinguished and the tanker was being cooled down," the Iasi Emergency Situations Inspectorate said, as quoted by agerpres.ro.
The fire is believed to have started after the braking system jammed and burned the three rear axles, the tires and the electrical installation of the tanker truck.
