“The Party of Socialists is ready to vote in the head of state in order to unlock the political crisis, but the candidate shouldn’t represent the AEI,” MP Igor Dodon told the journalists on Thursday, during a break in the Parliament’s sitting, Info-Prim Neo reports. “We are ready to vote so as to help overcome the crisis, but will not support a candidate of the ruling alliance, either Lupu or Filat. Those who insist that the AEI’s candidate should be voted in will assume responsibility. We will vote for an apolitical candidate,” said Igor Dodon. He also said that a coalition between the PCRM, PDM and PL will show that the PCRM wants nothing but seats. Speaking about the protests mounted by the PCRM, Igor Dodon said this party does what it can do best – erects barricades, divides society and stages pre-electoral protests. “The PCRM wants to come to power, even if it holds power in a series of villages and towns and in Chisinau and does nothing. Most of the professionals left this party. Today the PCRM cannot rule, but only protest,” he stated Asked about his visit to Moscow, the MP said he discussed the prospects of cooperation between the Party of Socialists and some of the Russian left parties. The group of the Socialists in Parliament consists of the three lawmakers who left the Communist parliamentary group.
