A 53-year-old woman, a passenger on the Chisinau-Nürnberg flight, was caught at Chisinau Airport attempting to take €30,000 out of the country. The money was confiscated, IPN reports.
According to the Border Police, the woman is a non-resident.
The money was found in her luggage.
According to the Customs Code, individuals are required to declare foreign currency in writing if the total amount exceeds the equivalent of €10,000.
