A number of political parties will be fined for non-presentation of financial reports

The Central Election Commission (CEC) decided to impose fines on a number of political parties for not presenting financial reports for the first half of 2021, IPN reports.

The parties that will be fined are: the Working People’s Party; the Political Party “Noi”; the Centrist Union of Moldova; the United Moldova Party – Edinaya Moldova; the Antimafie People’s Movement Party; the Democracy at Home Party; the Social-Democratic Party; the Democratic Action Party; the Renaissance Party; the New Historical Option Party; the Progressive Society Party.

As they didn’t present financial reports until July 15, fines of 9,000 to 15,000 lei were also imposed on the Party of Communists, the Party of Socialists, the Social-Christian Union Party; the Greater Moldova Party; the Republican Party; the Alliance for the Union of Romanians, and the Party of Change.

Also, CEC obliged a number of political parties to present supplemented financial reports during ten days. These are: the Agrarian Party; the Christian-Democratic People’s Party; the Movement “Speranța-Nadejda”; the Ecologist Green Party; the European Party; the Party for People, Nature and Animals; the Democratic People’s Party; the Conservatist Party; the Party of Regions; the Russian-Slavic Party; the People Power Party. If these parties do not comply with the CEC’s decision, they will also be fined.
