A moment’s silence at Embassy of France in Moldova

Moldovan people will gather near the Embassy of France in Chisinau on November 14 to observe a moment’s silence in memory of the victims of the deadly Paris attacks of November 13, IPN reports.

Internet users created a Facebook account entitled “A moment’s silence in honor of the Paris victims” by which they invited all those who want to take part in the event to commemorate those who died and to support those hurt in Paris. The people are invited to come with flowers and candles in front of the Embassy at 4:30pm. The event will be staged at 5pm.

“We ask respectfully the participants to refrain from discriminating and anti-Semitist comments and comments that incite violence. It is an event of compassion, solidarity and unity with the French people and the victims of the Paris attacks,” it is written on the Facebook account.

The Embassy of France in Chisinau is located at 6 Vlaicu Parcalab St.

At least 140 people have died in Paris in a wave of coordinated gun and suicide bomb attacks. Six venues across Paris were targeted. Gunmen opened fire at a rock concert and on patrons in restaurants and a series of bombs were detonated near the Stade de France, where the national team was playing Germany. French President François Hollande declared a state of emergency and tightened controls on the country’s borders. The attacks  were claimed by the Islamic State.
